It is time once again for the membership of the Washington Coal Club to recommend individuals for recognition at the Awards Banquet in November 2003. Your nominations for these important recognitions are sought for the Annual Achievement Award and the Senator Jennings Randolph Award (Lifetime Achievement Award).

Nomination Process: “Written” nominations (i.e., e-mails or faxes) for either award (see descriptions below) should be forwarded to any of the following individuals, no later than July 14, 2003:

A bit of history regarding the above mentioned awards and a list of past recipients:

Annual Achievement Award:

Initiated in 1982, the award is presented annually to an individual who has made the most recent meaningful contribution to the coal community. The Washington Coal Club Board of Directors selects the recipient from a nomination list offered by the membership. The award is presented at the Annual Awards Banquet. The past recipients of the Award are listed below.

Senator Jennings Randolph Award (Lifetime Achievement Award):

Initiated in 1987, this award is given solely at the discretion of the Board of Directors of the Washington Coal Club. The award is presented to an individual in recognition of their lifetime achievements and dedication to the utilization of coal. Like the Annual Achievement Award, this award is presented at the Annual Awards Banquet. The past recipients of the Award are listed below.
