Current Programs Impacting the Use of Coal for Power Generation

The Washington Coal Club is pleased to announce its January 9, 2002 meeting will feature Mr. Carl Bauer, Associate Director of Coal and Environmental Systems at the National Energy Technology Laboratory.

Mr. Bauer will provide an overview of the elements and importance to the future of coal use for power generation of the National Energy Technology Laboratory's programs involving coal preparation, coal combustion, post combustion clean up and sequestration technologies. Mr. Bauer will also comment on the impact of the FY 2002 Fossil Energy appropriation on these programs.
